Three Separate Charges — Understand Before You Pay

Your total international driving license cost involves three completely separate charges. The Platform Fee is only one of them.

✓ Platform Fee
₹2,250
Paid to the Platform for administrative facilitation and Lawyer coordination. Non-refundable once service commences.
+ Lawyer’s Professional Fee
Separate
Charged by the independent Lawyer for international driving license consultation, documentation guidance and related legal services. Payable directly to the Lawyer.
+ Government / RTO Fee
Separate
Statutory fee payable to the Licensing Authority (RTO) through the official Parivahan / Sarathi system. Prescribed for the issue of an International Driving Permit under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 and your State’s rules.
Not a Government Service: InternationalDrivingCounsel.org is not affiliated with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), any State Transport Department, any Regional Transport Office (RTO), the Parivahan / Sarathi portal, NIC, or any government authority. Submission of a request form on this Platform is not an international driving license application. All official applications are made on the Government system, and the applicant must visit the RTO in person wherever the RTO requires it. An IDP is issued only to a person who already holds a valid Indian driving licence.

What Is InternationalDrivingCounsel.org?

A private platform that connects you with independent Lawyers for international driving license matters — handling the administrative coordination so you can focus on your trip abroad.

InternationalDrivingCounsel.org is a private administrative facilitation and case-management platform. We connect tourists, business travellers, students going abroad, working professionals and NRIs with independent, empanelled Lawyers who advise on and assist with international driving license matters in their own professional capacity.

We are not a law firm and our team does not provide legal advice. Our role is limited to administrative coordination, scheduling, document organisation, and communication facilitation — all at the User’s explicit request.

  • New International Driving Permit, fresh IDP for another trip, and duplicate IDP
  • Applicant, Indian driving licence, passport, visa and travel-detail collection for Lawyer’s use
  • IDP eligibility and document guidance (informational — verified by the Lawyer)
  • Document organisation and scheduling coordination with the Lawyer
  • Application status communication based on information shared by the Lawyer
Note: Document verification and the final issue of an International Driving Permit are controlled entirely by the Licensing Authority (RTO) under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, read with applicable State rules, and are beyond the Platform’s control. Recognition of an IDP abroad depends on the laws of the destination country. No result or fixed timeline is guaranteed.
International driving license application process overview
How the Platform Works
You submit a request → we coordinate with an independent Lawyer → the Lawyer advises and guides your RTO application in his/her professional capacity.
A confirmation email dispatched to your registered email address constitutes commencement of our administrative services. Lawyer’s professional fee, Government / RTO fee, medical certificate, passport / visa costs, challans, appeals and other legal services are separate and not included in the Platform Fee.

Submit Your Request

Fill in the information form with the service you need, the class of vehicle on your Indian driving licence, and contact details. This form is an administrative tool and is not an international driving license application or government filing.

Lawyer Coordination

An available independent Lawyer empanelled on the Platform is coordinated to contact you via your registered email and phone to advise on IDP eligibility, documents, and next steps.

Your Approval & Application

You review and approve all application details — name, Indian driving licence, passport, visa, travel dates, documents — before anything is submitted. No application is submitted without your approval.

Acknowledgement & Support

Once the application is submitted, the application number / acknowledgement is shared with you. You visit the RTO in person wherever required; status communication is provided based on updates from the Lawyer.
